Why clarity alone isn’t enough, a decision is what turns dreams into reality.
There’s a quiet question so many women carry often, without saying it out loud:
Will my dream actually happen?
Not can I dream.
Not do I want more.
But… will it really come true for me?
Most women I work with have no trouble dreaming. They can imagine what they would love—more balance, deeper fulfillment, meaningful work, presence with their family, and a sense of calm confidence in who they are.
Yet despite the clarity, the dream stays just out of reach.
Not because it isn’t possible.
But because it hasn’t been decided.
A man once walked into a bank and approached the teller with a check in his hand.
He asked, “Will you cash this check?”
The teller looked at it and replied, “Of course. Just endorse it, hand it to me, and I’ll give you the money.”
The man stumbled back.
“Whoa.. wait a minute. I’m not ready for that yet. I just wanted to know if you would.”
The teller smiled and said, “Sir, until you sign it, it’s just a piece of paper.”
That moment captures why so many dreams never materialize.
Until you decide, your dream remains an idea, full of potential, but inactive.
Dreaming matters. It helps you reconnect to what you want. It brings awareness to what no longer fits and what you’re being called toward. If you don’t know what you’d love, a past blog called “Igniting the Desire” goes more in-depth. Check it out here.
Clarity alone doesn’t move life forward.
Dreaming helps you see what’s possible.
A decision is what makes it real.
Without decision:
With decision:
Decision doesn’t eliminate fear; it simply stops fear from running the show.
If you’ve been circling a dream for months or years, you’re not broken. Again, you aren’t broken. You’re human.
Many women hesitate because they’ve been the dependable one for so long. They don’t want to disrupt the balance, disappoint others, or choose the “wrong” path. They wait for certainty, capacity, or permission to arrive first.
But here’s the truth:
Not deciding is still a decision.
It just quietly chooses the status quo.
And if something inside you keeps whispering there’s more for me, that voice isn’t random. It’s guidance.
The power to create the life you want isn’t outside of you.
It isn’t found in the perfect plan or the perfect timing.
It lives in your ability to decide.
When you decide, you begin trusting yourself again. You stop waiting for clarity to come from the outside and start leading your life from within.
You don’t need the entire dream figured out.
You just need to decide that it matters.
If you want to explore this more deeply—how to access your inner authority, trust yourself, and reconnect with your personal power—I invite you to read my blog, The Power Within You. It expands on what it truly means to lead your life from within rather than waiting for confidence or circumstances to change.
So here’s a gentle question for you:
What is the dream you keep checking on… But haven’t fully signed for it yet?
Your dream isn’t asking for perfection.
It’s asking for your decision.
And once you make it, the path forward has a way of revealing itself, one aligned step at a time.
If this message resonated with you—if you’re ready to move from clarity into commitment, I’d love to support you.
